The Churston Golf Academy has been designed with new golfers in mind. Working alongside our experienced PGA Professionals, Academy Members have a unique opportunity to develop their skills through regular instruction and sociable golf. Twelve months from start to ready.
From first swing to full membership.
A structured journey, broken into four phases. You move through them at your own pace, with coaching, practice and playing time along the way.
What's Included
Everything you need for a year of learning.
Your Academy Membership runs for 12 months from the day you join. Below is what is included in that year.

Not Alone
You will not be the only beginner.
One of the biggest barriers to taking up golf is the feeling that everyone else already knows what they are doing. At Churston, the Academy is where that feeling ends. Every other person in your group will be where you are. Some will be one month ahead, some one month behind. Nobody is judging your grip.
Our Get Into Golf programme has welcomed hundreds of new golfers through these doors. Many of them are still members today.
Ladies Get Into Golf
A growing community of women taking up the game.
Our Ladies Get Into Golf programme is one of the fastest growing parts of the Academy. It is becoming the preferred choice for women who want to make golf their chosen sport, in a friendly, sociable environment.
Group coaching is a fun and friendly way to learn to play golf and meet new friends.

What happens next?
At the end of your journey, you will be ready to take the next step into full club membership. There is no pressure, no rush, and no entrance fees for Academy Members moving across.
Pick your route
Full Playing for unlimited golf, or Fairway for pay before play. Both routes carry reduced entrance fees for Academy Members transferring across.
Get your handicap
To receive an official WHS handicap recognised worldwide, submit 3 cards.
Competing
As a member with a WHS handicap you can enter competitions, compete in team matches and represent the club in friendlies.
