Churston Ladies
Churston ladies represent the club in various Devon county team competitions, which caters for a wide range of handicaps. We also enter the Devon League and play friendly ladies matches against other Devon clubs each year.

Devon County Ladies Champion for the second year running. A former Churston junior now winning at county level.
Isabelle Tarr
Devon County Junior Girls Champion for the third consecutive year. Part of the section's particularly successful junior girls group.
Julie Garnett
Devon County Medal winner and Coronation Cup partner with Jackie Wills. A regular fixture on the Churston honours board.
Kate Field
Kate takes the Baldry Salver for 2026, adding her name to the section’s honours. Congratulations from everyone at Churston on a well played season.
Beyond The Course
Bridge, backgammon, away days, ABBA parties.
We are a social group and enjoy many other activities alongside the golf. Bridge afternoons, backgammon nights, away days to other courses. Casino nights, line dancing, ABBA parties. The Tuesday competition is the start of the week, not the whole of it.
New Members Welcome
All abilities welcome, no exceptions.
New ladies of all abilities are welcome at the club. Our club professional Harry Mayers runs a Get Into Golf programme for complete beginners, so whether you are an experienced golfer moving to the area, a returning player after a break, or completely new to the game, there is a way in.
A member of the ladies’ committee is solely responsible for new members and will personally introduce you to other new members and help you find playing partners. No turning up on the first tee not knowing anyone. Just an introduction, a cup of tea, and somewhere to start.
